THE BEACH BOYS AND THE TEMPTATIONS TOGETHER LIVE AT A VENUE NEAR YOU!

FEBRUARY 2017
‘California Surf’ and ‘Motor City Soul’

There’s no better way to celebrate the summer than experiencing the band that literally created the beach rock sound live. Calling The Beach Boys “legends” is an understatement. Their multi-layer harmonies, unmistakable 1960s surf rock sound and laid-back style launched them into worldwide fame, while simultaneously shaping the future of pop music forever. 50 years, 100 million albums sold and an induction into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame later, The Beach Boys are the top-selling American band of all time. And with musical masterpieces like “Surfin’ USA”, “Pet Sounds” and “Kokomo”, it’s no surprise The Beach Boys took home the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Grammy award. The band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions but its greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt.

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Jeff Foskett, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Brian Eichenberger and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band. This tour will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.

If you like your surf with a side of soul, joining The Beach Boys is the smooth, the soulful, and the very funky Temptations who are known for their motown smash hits “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg”, “My Girl” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone”. With the help of writer/producer Smokey Robinson they embodied the heart and soul of Motor City USA. Over the course of their career, the band has won three Grammy awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. Having sold tens of millions of albums, The Temptations are one of the most successful groups in music history and were highly influential in the evolution of R&B and soul music. Beyond the fabulous singing, The Temptations became known for smooth stepping and flawless presentations with The Temptations Walk becoming a staple of American style.

It’s the soundtrack of your summers past, so don’t miss the show! It’s a once in a lifetime double bill playing all the hits!
